Richard Delbert Wheeler

November 11, 1934 ~ October 16, 2022

Richard Delbert Wheeler was born November 11, 1934, in Dover, Oklahoma, to Hiram and Aline Wheeler. He passed away October 16, 2022 in Elk City, Oklahoma.

He was a loving father, avid horseman and enjoyed hunting racoons with his Walker hounds.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Spieker Wheeler; sister, Judy Hatch; and brother, Earl Wheeler.

He is survived by his children: Deliena Mercer and husband Roy of Yukon, OK, Linda Stong and husband Greg of Enid, OK, and Michael Wheeler and wife Karen of Seminole, OK, as well as four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Shirley Grube, Billy Wheeler, Leroy Wheeler and Eldon Wheeler. A private family service will be held at a later date.
