Gary Wayne Wheat
November 18, 1954 ~ July 23, 2022

Gary “Lil Bull” Wayne Wheat, 67, of Bartlesville, passed away on July 23, 2022. He was born November 18, 1954, to his father, Wilbur Leroy Wheat and mother, Florence Kathleen Wheat, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

After graduating from Bartlesville College High School in 1974, Gary joined the United States Navy and served on U.S.S. Hoist as an engineman class A from 1974 to 1980, where he got the Good Conduct Ribbon, National Defense Ribbon, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. When he left the Navy, he was a truck driver and welder. In his free time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to renaissance fairs, fishing, hunting, and MC activities. He was charter member Oklahoma in the American Veterans Motorcycle Club in 1998.

He is preceded in death by father, Wilbur Wheat; mother, Florence Kathleen Wheat; sister, April Wheat; and grandchildren, Logan Smith and Addison Smith.

He is survived by his sons, Phillip Wheat and wife Bonnie of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Kenny Wheat and wife Ashley of Bixby, Oklahoma; daughter, Jennifer Smith and husband Aaron of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother, Ronald Wheat and wife Paulette of Dewey, Oklahoma; sister, Gayla Wheat of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chase, Kennedy, and Kylie; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Friday July 29, 2022, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.
