Orma Scrivner West, 77, of Burkburnett passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. December 3, 2008 at Central Baptist Church in Burkburnett with Rev. Joe Coombes officiating.

Burial followed at the Burkburnett Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.

Orma was born in Reydon, Oklahoma to Benton and Maude James Scrivner.

She married George West July 23, 1950 and lived in Amarillo, Texas until 1966 when she moved to Burkburnett.

She was a Civil Service Secretary at SAFB.

Orma was a member of Tops #TX 636 of Burkburnett, and also a member of 55 Advantage Club at United Regional.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Parton and husband Van of Burkburnett; son, James West of Burkburnett; a brother, Don Scrivner of Amarillo, Texas; grandchild, Jeff Parton and wife Shannon of Cusseta, Alabama; and Kyle Parton of Mossbluff, Lousiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George West; her parents, six brothers and two sisters.

Memorials can be sent to Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804 Wichita Falls, Texas.
