Vella Mae (Eastham) Welker
June 5, 1945 ~ October 18, 2020

Vella Mae (Eastham) Welker, age 75, of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away October 18, 2020 at Shawn Manor Nursing Home, in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Howard will officiating.

Vella was born on June 5, 1945 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Lester and Pearl (Sutterfield) Eastham. She grew up in Antlers most of her life. She married Don Welker on December 5, 1969 and lived in Arizona a short while before settling in Clayton, Oklahoma where they raised six children.She worked various jobs during her life but she dedicated her life to raising her children, she was a very loving and caring Mother and was truly loved.

Survivors include five children; Rhonda Green and husband Mike Balthus of Ponca City, Becky Fletcher and husband Clint Fletcher of Ponca City, Misti Lee and husband Sam Lee of Snow, Oklahoma, Ellis Welker and wife Teena Welker of Clayton, Oklahoma, and Donald Welker and wife Amber Welker of Clayton, Oklahoma, twelve grandchildren; Moe Ben, Mandi Wardlow, Krystal Whitehouse, Kayla Jones, Trey Sturgeon, Bethany Welker, Daniel Welker, Cara Nunley, Ryan Cunningham, Kailee Welker, Natali Welker and Wesley Welker, also fifteen great grandchildren; four sisters; Patricia Lindamood of Antlers, Oklahoma, Linda Standridge of Antlers, Oklahoma, Maxine Havlicek of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Sharon Wilkerson Antlers, Oklahoma, one brother; Chester Eastham of McAlester, Oklahoma.

Preceded in death by parents, Lester and Pearl Eastman, daughter Charlotte Ben, brother, Luther Eastham, and husband Don Welker.
