Charles M. Wedel Jr.

September 18, 1938 ~ December 9, 2022

The memorial service for Charles M. Wedel Jr. will be at a later date.

Charles was born September 18, 1938, in Goltry to Marvin and Sophia (Becker) Wedel and died Friday, December 9, 2022.

The family moved to Enid and made their home there. Charles graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1957.

He married Carol Ann Dilldine on May 5, 1962. He began working with Halliburton in Dallas for 30 years. The couple then went to Arizona where Charles worked for the Space Program. They later returned to Enid where Charles worked as a machinist with Gefco until his retirement.

Charles served in the National Guard for over ten years and was a Cub Scout master.

He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; three children, Gina Howe of Pueblo, CO., Charles Wedel and Mike Wedel, both of Enid; 7 grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
