Doris Jean (Hancock) Webb
June 28, 1933 ~ February 20, 2021

Doris Jean (Hancock) Webb, age 87, a Coalgate resident was born on June 28, 1933, to A.L. Hancock Sr. & Pauline Pearl (Childress) Hancock on Polk road in Coal County, OK. Lucille Polk named her Doris. She passed away on February 20, 2021 at Coalgate, OK.

Doris attended & graduated from Coalgate High School and attended East Central University where she received her LPN license. She worked at Mary Hurley Hospital when it opened in 1964 and worked until 1991. Doris also worked for Ruth Wilson Hurley Manor, Home Health, and private care taking care of Thelma Pope & Yvonne Newberry until there passing. Doris owned & operated Mother Goose Daycare & Snow cone stand. She was a very hardworking lady and took pride in her work.

She married William Houston Webb on March 3, 1958 in Coalgate, they celebrated 58 wonderful years together, before his passing on death on June 17, 2016. Doris loved her roses, decorating cakes, gambling, casinos, reading & watching old westerns.

Doris is survived by her Daughter: Betti Roberts & husband Eugene of Coalgate, Ok. Sister-in-law: Beverly Hancock of Florida, Nieces: Tammy Beverly & husband Lanny of Coalgate, OK, Kathy Battles of Coalgate, OK, Stacy Farrow & husband Damon of Ft. Lucy, FL. Granddaughter: Sky Dawn Stevens & husband Justin Ables of McAlester, OK, Great Grandchildren: Noah Gregor, Luke Avery & Able Avery, Along with other relatives & many dear friends

She was preceded in death by her Parents: A.L. Hancock Sr. & Pauline Pearl (Childress) Hancock, her husband: William Houston Webb, brother AL Hancock Jr., sister: Helen Marie (Hancock) Battles and grandchild: Jesse Houston Stevens

DATE OF SERVICES: 2:00 PM Friday, February 26th, 2021

PLACE OF SERVICES: Brown's Funeral Service, Coalgate, Oklahoma

OFFICIATING: Brother James McKellips

Visitation will be Thursday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
