Doris Amanda (Gaubert) Washecheck
January 30, 1920 ~ March 9, 2020

Doris Amanda Washecheck, age 100, went to be with her heavenly father on March 9, 2020.

She was born on January 30, 1920 at home in Canadian County, OK to Delettie and Porter Gaubert.

She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 20 years. Doris loved to cook for anyone, sharing with people that needed a meal and having big family meals was her favorite. Her heart was to serve others whether it be siting with people that needed company or praying for people. Doris was a fighter and if you were her loved one she was your warrior.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Washecheck; 1 son, Irvin Washecheck; 1 brother; and 3 sisters.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Patricia Howard, Joy McKinney and husband Lee; daughter-in-law, Barbara Washecheck; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be 1-8 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2020 with family to greet guests from 7-8 pm at Buchanan Funeral Service. A service to celebrate her life will be 10 am, Friday, March 13, 2020 at Piedmont First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Kansas Cemetery.
