Phyllis Diana Warkentin, of Fairview, Oklahoma, passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 75.
Born on September 26, 1950, in Enid, Oklahoma, Phyllis grew up in Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School in 1968. She built a life rooted in family, faith, and hard work. Phyllis worked as an abstractor at Fairview Abstract, where she dedicated many years before retiring.
She found great joy in her home and farm, where she lovingly cared for her miniature horses and donkeys. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who rarely missed a moment—attending school events, countless basketball games, and horse shows for her children and later her grandchildren. These moments were among her greatest joys.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Dorothy Warkentin; her brother, Allyn Warkentin; her sister, JoEtta Ediger; and her brother-in-law, Walt Ediger.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Wilson and Dorinda Gentry; her sister-in-law, Donna Warkentin; her ten grandchildren, Seth, Saron, Sheldon, Slade, Simon, Seryna, Jax, Lauralei, Gabrielle, and Joel; and many nieces and nephews and their children.
Phyllis will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her deep love for family, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her.
