Margaret Ann Ward

Margaret Ann Ward
December 10, 1947 ~ September 4, 2017

Margaret Ann Ward, 69, of Copan, died Monday in Bartlesville.

Margaret was born the 10th child of George Earl and Gladys Opal (Macmaster) Ward on December 10, 1947, in Caney, KS. She had the distinction of being the first sibling to be born in a hospital instead of the family home. Margaret attended Wann schools, graduating in 1965. She enjoyed keeping up with her classmates and attended many school reunions. After attending beauty school in Bartlesville she joined Gail's Hairstyling and made many wonderful friends along the way. After 20 years she went to Studio2 and worked with Debbie Hill for the next 10 years.

Margaret's main focus in life was raising her son Scott - when he was young they moved to Copan where she has lived ever since. Once she was blessed with grandchildren she focused all of her love and attention on them. Later in life she reconnected with her old classmate Janice Puckett Livingston and started attending church with her at Dewey First Baptist Church. She loved her church family and many activities like garage sale-ing and playing cards. Yearly Ward family reunions were important and anyone who knew her would usually hear her opinion on the many topics discussed.

Margaret is survived by her son Robert Scott Hinkle and Nicole of Copan; two granddaughters Allison and Tristan Hinkle; one brother Jerry Ward and Dorothy of Wann; two sisters, Sharon Hayden of South Coffeyville and Thelma Thomas of Copan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Glenn and George Ward; four sisters, Congeta Klause, Gorgia Holland, Mary Lou Dean and Patsy Hill.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, September 11, at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, with Pastor Mark Wright officiating.

Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Margaret's family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com
