Jack Ward

April 11, 1945 ~ July 26, 2017

Jack Ward age 72 of Oklahoma City, formerly of Newcastle, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at his home in OKC. Jack was born on April 11, 1945 in Oklahoma City. He was the youngest of three sons born to Travice Elmer Ward and Maxine Fay (Waddle) Ward.

Jack grew up in South OKC and graduated from U. S. Grant High School in 1963. For 5 ½ years he proudly served in the U. S. Army Reserves.

Jack later married and was a dedicated father to his only daughter, Tina. Jack moved to Newcastle in 1976 and worked nearly 35 years for his brother Allen Ward Homes in Newcastle. While living in Newcastle, he was a member of the Newcastle First Baptist Church. In 2012 he moved to N. OKC to live close to his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. For the past 15 years, Jack doted over his grandchildren, Jack and Ella Carter. He was a wonderful, loving and fun grandfather to be around. Jack loved being outdoors, especially working and picking weeds in his and Tina's yards. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, working with his hands and woodworking. He also enjoyed watching O. U. sports with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Travice and Maxine Ward; One brother, Dale Ward;

He is survived by: Daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Brad Carter of OKC; Two grandchildren, Jack and Ella Carter of OKC; One brother, Allen Ward and wife Polly of Newcastle, A sister-in-law, Kathy Ward of Tuttle, Aunt, Wanda Waddle of OKC, Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel, 13313 N. Kelley in OKC.

Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
