04 Aug 1932
Submitted by: Wanda Purcell

Mr. William Noel "Preach" Walker, son of G. W. Walker was born February 15, 1905, near Durham, Oklahoma and spent his boyhood there.

He spent his high school days in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

He was united in marriage to Miss Dorothy Lucille Ramsey, February 14, 1927. To this union was born one child, George Lewis.

Noel was converted at Gem City in October 1931. He passed to his reward July 29, 1932 at Canadian, Texas.

He leaves to mourn his going, his wife, Dorothy Walker; one son, George Lewis; his father, Mr. George W. Walker; one brother, Mrs. Doyle {Pat} Walker; four sisters, Misses Pearl, Helen and Lucille Walker; Mrs. Merle Kendall; and a host of other relatives who came to be at his bedside and burial, who are, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Osborn of Clinton, Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. Quinn Walker and son Neil of Thomas, Oklahoma; Mrs. Willie Cooke of Arapaho, Oklahoma; Mrs. and Mrs. W. A. Walker of Clifford, Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hensley of Clifford, Oklahoma; Mr. Roy and F. D. Mathis of Thomas, Oklahoma; Mrs. Ida Mathis and May of Thomas, Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Mathis; Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Mathis of Beaver, Oklahoma; and friends innumerable.

For the people who knew him from boyhood and manhood, the life of Noel Walker will remain as an exemplification of all those virtues which are truest and best, a dutiful son, a faithful husband, a loving father, these are but a few of the duties which he fulfilled with courage and strength, with quiet perseverance and always with cheerfulness. His sunny nature was a blessing to all who knew him.

Words cannot express the remembrances which we all hold in our hearts for Noel.

Burial took place in Eller Flat Cemetery, Hemphill County, Texas.
