February 23, 1971 ~ January 17, 2019

Christopher Paul Vrem, 47, of Blanchard, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019, in Chickasha. The son of Paul Boyd Vrem and Mirlene Artie (Wood) Vrem Koenig, he was born February 23, 1971, in Purcell, Oklahoma.

Chris was a 1989 graduate of Blanchard High School. He worked for 30 years as an Automotive Technician for Knippelmier Chevrolet. In his spare time, Chris enjoyed working on cars, cooking, and watching sports, especially OU football and Thunder basketball. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Vrem, and his grandparents, George and Artie Wood, and Earl and Alice Vrem.

Chris is survived by his wife, Angelia Casteel of Blanchard; his mother, Mirlene Vrem Koenig and her husband, Neil; one sister, Alison Tabares of Blanchard; nephew, Scott Tabares and wife, Hollye, and their daughter, Mava, of Moore; niece, Megan Gray and her children, Lyric and Nolan, of Blanchard; nephew, Jordan Gray, and wife, Ashley, and their daughter, Aprilia, of Blanchard, father-in-law, Wendell Casteel of Blanchard; and mother-in-law, Carolyn Skeen of Moore; sisters-in law and brothers-in law, Steve and Michelle Drews and their children, Sydney and Sara, of Moore, Samantha and Mark Timberlake, and their son, Ian, of Moore, Brent Skeen, Jr. and his son, Kolten, of Moore; and many other extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Jesus Alive Church in Newcastle.

 Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
