Betty Joan (Bogle) Vincent

Betty Joan (Bogle) Vincent
September 1, 1939 ~ April 1, 2023

On Saturday, April 1, 2023, Betty Joan Vincent of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 83 and will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, extended family and many lifelong friends.

Betty was born Sept 1, 1939, in Wayside, Oklahoma to James L. “Dutch” and Gladys B. (Dye) Bogle. She had two sisters, Helen Crow & Bertha Toalson, and one brother, George Bogle. She was raised in the Bartlesville/Dewey area and graduated from Dewey High School in 1957. She married Thomas A. Vincent in September, 1959, and they were married for 30 years. From that union they had 3 sons, Stan Vincent (wife Allyson) from Springfield, MO, Brad Vincent (wife Susan) from Bartlesville, OK, and Vince Vincent (wife Carrie) from Dewey, OK. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, & great-grandmother, and her sons were the light of her life.

Betty was always busy and worked at many local offices. She was the beloved Principal’s Secretary at Dewey Public Schools, then worked at MedSource Corporation, and at Bartlesville Public Schools in the Professional Development Center. She ended her professional career after serving several years as the activity fund coordinator at the Bartlesville Education Center. She also worked in the K-Mart Pharmacy and the old Plaza bank part time.

The Vincent boys were active in all sports, but spent most of their time at Doenges Stadium, and Betty could always be found close to the ballfield, supporting & cheering on her sons, cutting up with friends, and taking care of everyone. Betty spent a lot of her time working in the concession stand where she was well known for making some of the best nachos!

Grandma Betty will be missed by 10 grandchildren and their families, Josh & Lily Vincent from Tulsa, OK, Levi Vincent from Bartlesville, OK, TJ Vincent from Dewey, OK, Kiersten Vincent from Centerton, AR, Dr. Brandon & Stori Vincent from Cashion, OK, Amanda Vincent from Coffeyville, KS, Joel Vincent from Tyler, TX, Tara & Mike Barger, Vince & Nikki Wendel & Tamara Jackson, all from Springfield, MO. Grandma Betty also had 13 great-grandchildren whom she adored, and many nieces and nephews.

Betty attended the Dewey United Methodist Church & was active on Facebook, where she kept up with her many lifelong friends and neighbors who will miss her spunk and vigor! Betty’s friends meant so much to her.

Mom, we love you and you will be missed dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests all gifts of love/donations to be sent to The Journey Home, 900 Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, OK 74006.

A memorial & celebration of life service will be held at the Dewey First United Methodist Church at 2pm on April 15th, 2023. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage Avenue (Highway 75), Dewey, OK 74029.
