Jim Veley

February 15, 1956 ~ May 12, 2017

Jim Veley, 61, Chief Inspector on Pipeline, died Friday, May 12, 2017 in Enid, Oklahoma. 

Jim was born in Nowata, Oklahoma on February 15, 1956 to parents Harold and Kathryn (Maple) Veley. 

Jim enjoyed the simple things in life. He spent his time outdoors whenever possible. He enjoyed farming and gardening, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids whenever possible. Jim was very handy, and was an accomplished welder. He had married Leslie Veley on February 17, 1995 in Miami, Oklahoma. Leslie preceded Jim in death in March of 2013. 

Jim is survived by his children, Sherry Walker and husband Cody of Owasso, Jody Campbell of Nowata, Steven Veley and wife Sam of Nowata, Jenny Hilton and husband of Nowata and Thomas Campbell of Colorado; 10.5 grandchildren and siblings, Fred Veley and wife Diana of Nowata, Renee Stone of Nowata, Cindy Jauhola and husband Bruce of Nowata and Tommy Veley and wife Sandy of South Coffeyville. 

Services will be held at the Nowata Baptist Church at a later date. Cremation under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
