Juan Luis Torrero Velarde
October 18, 1979 ~ October 17, 2023

Woodward resident Juan Luis Torrero Velarde passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 43 in Guymon, OK, as a result of an automobile accident. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at St. Peter Catholic Church with Reverand Cristobal De Loera as Celebrant. A prayer vigil will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.

Juan was born on October 18, 1979, in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, the son of Maria Guadalupe Velarde Toloza and Juan Ramon Torrero. He grew up in El Quelite, Sinaloa and attended Benito Juarez Elementary School, El Quelite S.N. Juan worked at Stephens Ranch in Guymon, OK as a ranch laborer.

Juan's greatest joy was spending time with his children and playing music with his mother, his family and his friends and going to the casinos.

Juan is preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles and some friends.

He is survived by his mother, Maria Velarde and her husband, Jose Velazquez, his sons, Guillermo Torrero and Angel Javier Torrero, his brother and his wife, Carlos Eduardo and Patricia Leal and his sister, Yessenia Lizarraga, his ex wife, Dannell Flewelling.
