Jack B Vaughn
January 17, 1923 ~ March 8, 2013

Jack B Vaughn was born on January 17, 1923 in Howe, Oklahoma to James Lee and Pearl Viola (Britton) Vaughn and passed away on March 8, 2013 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 90.

Jack resided in Oklahoma and Texas throughout his youth. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in August of 1940 and served in B Troop 5th Cavalry of the First Cavalry Division until his honorable discharge in May of 1945.

He settled in California for more than 60 years where he enjoyed a successful career in law enforcement until his retirement in 1974. He wed Florene Knight of Sayre, Oklahoma in 2002 and they lived in California until returning to Sayre in 2005.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Clare, 4 brothers, James, Jerry, Glendon and Dickie Lee and 3 sisters, Gay V. (Madge) Aday, Imogene Coleman and Charlotte Stinson.

Jack is survived by his wife, Florene, of Elk City, Oklahoma, his son, Larry L. Vaughn and wife, Dale, of Sausalito, California; 2 grandsons Grant and Remy both of San Rafael, California; a stepdaughter, Karron Rhodes and husband, Cleatus, of Sayre, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Patsy N. Lewotsky and husband, Tony, of Santa Maria, California and Bobbie June Vaughn of Santa Rosa, California; and many loving family members and friends.

Service:
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 11 in the Rose Chapel
