Florene (Aday) Knight Vaughn

Florene Vaughn was born August 9, 1924 in Nashoba, Oklahoma to Madle and J O Aday. She passed away January 16, 2015 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years 3 months and 7 days.

Florene married Bob Allan Knight on July 25, 1941 in Clovis, NM and three children were born to this union, Quentin and twins, Karron and Sharron. They later lived in Muleshoe, Texas before moving to Antlers, Oklahoma were Bob passed away in 1989. After he passed away, she moved to Sayre to be near her daughter, Karron. In 2002, Florene married Jack Vaughn in Santa Maria, California. They remained in California and did a lot of traveling until his health began to fail. In 2005, they moved to Sayre to make their home.

Florene was a member of the Sayre First Baptist Church where she loved attending services and spending time with her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, an infant daughter, Sharron, a son, Quinton Knight, her son-in-law, Cleatus Rhodes, and grandson, Kyle Rhodes.

She is survived by her daughter, Karron Rhodes, Sayre, OK; a grandson, Colbie Rhodes and wife, Ramona, Cheyenne, OK; her great grandchildren, Donnie and Lynci Aikins, Justin and Lacy Rhodes, Lacey Rhodes, all of Cheyenne, OK; great great grandchildren, Natilee, Nathan, Adrianna Aikins; a sister, Margaret Parsons, Friona, TX; and a host of loving family members, her church family and many, many friends.
