Donnia L. (Thomas) Vaughn

March 31, 1940 ~ January 14, 2015

Donnia L. Vaughn, 74, of Krebs, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at McAlester Regional Health Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Robbie McCabe officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Donnia was born to Ray E. and Muriel A. (Ridgeway) Thomas on March 31, 1940 in Tonkawa. She graduated from Tonkawa High School. She married Bob Vaughn in 1980 in Florida. Donnia worked as a pediatric nurse for Dr. Bridges in McAlester and then as a pharmacy tech at Wal-Mart Pharmacy.

She enjoyed flowers, gardening, crafts, and being with her friends.

Survivors include her daughters: Rainia Burch and husband, Alan of Hartshorne, Donnia Powell and husband, Melvin of Ashland, Kim Clift and husband, Bob of McAlester; grandchildren: Tommy, Alicia, Dylan, Sonja, Jennifer, Bud, Josh, Dustin, and Ashlie; 11 great-grandchildren. Also, a sister: Charlotte Graham of Grove; brothers: Rodney Thomas of Oregon, Russell Thomas; and other family members and friends.

Donnia was preceded in death by her father: Ray Elija Thomas, mother: Muriel Audrey (Ridgeway) Thomas, her husband: Bob Vaughn, and a sister: Glenda Aliey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Kelley, Bud Powell, Tommy Burch, Josh Powell, and Dylan Burch.
