Teresa May (Shelite) Vaughan
August 25, 1954 ~ March 20, 2018

Terry, as she was known, was born August 25, 1954, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, to Richard and Erma Shelite. She grew up in California and moved to Oklahoma in her late teens.

She married Larry Vaughan in 1980. They lived in Enid till 1986, then moved to Isabella. In 1987, Terry was in a car accident that left her incapacitated. Terry lived in the Isabella home till 2015.

At that time, she moved to Highland Park Manor and later to Garland Road Nursing and Rehab Center where she passed away on March 20, 2018.

Terry was preceded in death by her father Richard Shelite, and her brother Richard Shelite Jr.

She is survived by her husband Larry Vaughan, her mother Erma Cleeton, her sister Shirley McCoy; her nieces Tammy and husband Marty Wilson, Amanda and husband Justin Kerr; Melissa LeGrand, Tequila and husband Jack Coleman.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday April 15, 2018, at the Bird Sanctuary at South Lincoln and Mockingbird Lane, Enid.
