Inez (Bolton) Varner

Inez (Bolton) Varner
June 1, 1923 ~ November 9, 2011 (age 88)

Varner, Inez, 88, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 surrounded by loved ones, in Norman, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Texas on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. 

Mrs. Varner was born on June 1, 1923 in Grandfield, Oklahoma to James Wiley Bolton and Gladys Totsie Prescott Bolton. 

She graduated from Frederick High School and married Louie Pruitt of Frederick.  Together they had three daughters, Sandra Jean Pruitt, Mary Ann Roe and Stacey Pruitt.  In 1972, Inez married Rodney Varner of Altus, Oklahoma and her family grew to include two stepchildren, Rodette Varner Green and Scott Varner.  Inez and Rodney resided in Horseshoe Bay, Texas and spent their time playing golf, traveling and enjoying their life together. 

Inez was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Rodney Varner; and her brother, James Wiley Bolton, II. 

She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Pruitt and her daughter, Chelsea Pruitt, Nathan Corbett and their son, Jackson Corbett; Mary Ann Roe and her partner Rocky Diaz and their children, Heather Roe, Anthony Diaz and Angelo Diaz; Sandy Pruitt and her partner Nancy Drew and their children, Gillie Nowacki and her husband Gerry Bennett and their children, Mari Bennett, Forrest Bennett, Jonathan Bennett; Jay Drew, Scott Drew and his son Jimmy Drew; Rodette and Rick Green and their son Todd Green, his wife Debra Green and their children, Gabrielle and husband Ryan, Tallie and Reid; their daughter, Staci and her husband Cary Cozby and son Banks Cozby; Scott and Monica Varner and their children Michael and Brian Varner. 

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 NE 13th, OKC, OK 73104.  Inez will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
