A. Marie (Hopkins) VanMeter

A. Marie (Hopkins) VanMeter
 ???? ~ December 24, 2015

Marie VanMeter passed away peacefully, after a long illness, in St Paul, MN on Thursday, December 24th, 2015 surrounded by her family.

Marie was born in Stilwell, Oklahoma and resided in Apple Valley, MN after spending several years traveling the country with her husband, visiting family and seeing America. Prior to Apple Valley, she called Fort Scott, Kansas home.

Marie is survived by her loving husband, Jack; daughters, Tina (Richard), Katrina, and sons, Christian (Tabitha), and Jeffery; as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Marie's life will be planned for late summer 2016, which will incorporate some of Marie's favorite things; family, friends, a fish boil, and margaritas. Please contact the family to receive details.

Everyone she came across will miss Marie's warm heart, joy of life, warm hospitality and soft spirit. Marie touched the lives of so many people with her strength and courage to live life full of laughter, happiness, and love. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Though Marie is gone, the legacy of her life will live on through them.
