Lura Mae (Casto) Underwood
October 3, 1936 ~ December 22, 2020 (age 84)

Lura Mae Underwood, 84, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Oklahoma City.
She was born October 3, 1936 to Otis and Lona May (Bennett) Casto in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

Lura was raised in Buckhannon, West Virginia. She moved to Oklahoma in 1970 and settled in the Tecumseh area in 1987.

She married Jessie Lee Underwood in 1968 in Lake Taho, Nevada and he preceded her in death in September 1981.

Lura worked in the construction industry for several years and later worked for Holiday Inn for 16 years.

She was an excellent cook, enjoyed canning, hunting, fishing and making homemade wine.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sons, Kenneth Lake, Richard Underwood and Jessie Underwood; daughter, Teresa Underwood; and siblings, Ralph Casto, Lillian Nethkin Casto, Earl Casto and Dana Hamner.

Survivors included children, daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Tharron Tucker of Tecumseh; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Robin Underwood of Shawnee; grandchildren, Angela Underwood, Jessie Underwood, Faith Cheney, Lindsey and Trent Boles, Josie and Brady Huff, Lacie Underwood, Amanda and David Casto, Kenny Lake, James Lake, Kenda Whittington and Kensley Whittington; great-grandchildren, Kendra Casto, Tyler Casto, Levi Huff, Chevy Cheney and Brinlee Boles; siblings, Pearl Mortenson and Jane White; and other extended family and friends.

As per Lura�s request there will be no formal services held. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh. There will be no viewing.
