Charles Luther Twist, Sr.
August 24, 1936 ~ April 17, 2018

Charles Luther Twist, Sr., 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at his home in Stillwater. Memorial service will be on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater with Father Ken Harder officiating. Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater is entrusted with arrangements.

Charlie was born in Vian, Oklahoma on August 24, 1936 to Edd and Daisy Mary (Jackson) Twist. After high school, Charlie joined the Army and was stationed at Ft. Sill and did time overseas in Munich, Germany. After his military service Charlie was a well known and successful building contractor in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Cherokee Tribe of Oklahoma.

Charlie was the youngest of nine children whom all are preceding him in death but one sister Louise McConnel of Wagoner, Oklahoma.

Charlie is survived by his children, Denise J. Hicks and husband Steve, Jenifer Korte and her husband Michael, and son Charles "Chuck" Twist, Jr. and his wife Barbara, as well as six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
