Mrs. Elizabeth Tutt

???? ~ July 05, 1880 | Age 66

Died on Monday the 5th, inst. at her residence in Tahlequah District Mrs. Elizabeth Tutt ages sixty-six years.

The deceased was nearly a full-blooded Cherokee belonging to the family of Vann's on one side and Saunders on the other.

She was a widow lady of remarkable energy and thrift. Though not speaking English and dependent for many years upon her own unassisted resources, she accumulated a considerable amount of property and was know far and wide for her generous, old-time, hospitality.

The news of her death will be received at many a home with sincere sorrow that the Nation should loose one of the most admirable illustrations of the excellence of a past generation of Cherokee.
