Jerry Emerson Turner

February 26, 1955 ~ May 24, 2011

Services for Jerry Emerson Turner, a Coalgate resident, were held Tuesday, May 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. David Boggs officiating.

Mr. Turner was born February 26, 1955 in Bakersfield, CA to Sydney Eugene and Wanda Louise (Nolan) Turner and passed away May 24, 2011 in Oklahoma City at the age of 56. He attended Foothill High School in CA and married Janette Kris Pope on February 14, 1981. Jerry was a mechanic and supervisor and was employed by Solo Cup.

Survivors include his wife Kris Turner of the home; children, Shelby Turner, Josh Turner and Terry Pope all of Coalgate; mother, Wanda Turner of Bakersfield, CA; siblings, Opal Turner of IL,. Joyce Knouse of PA., Patty St. John of TX., Ronny Johns of CA, Terry Turner of PA, Perry Turner of CA, Larry Turner of CA, and Nellie Denmon of TX; grandchildren, Zoey McDonald, Zayli Turner, Zane McDonald; along with numerous nieces, nephews and many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sydney Turner, brother, Richard Turner and sisters, Dee Dee Posey and Sylvia Barksdale.

Services were under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
