Marie (Frieden) Tucker

January 9, 1927 ~ February 8, 2020

Marie Frieden Tucker was born January 9, 1927, to Jeff and Frieda Farney Frieden. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1945. She married Dale Tucker on November 12, 1948, and together they enjoyed life. Marie became a member of the Apostolic Christian Church and enjoyed the fellowship throughout her life. She had many ventures with Dale, which included traveling and flying, but most of all she loved her family. Marie was blessed with seven siblings, three children, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. She loved being a care giver to her large family. She attended ballgames for three generations, looked forward to birthday parties and family gatherings of all kinds. Her chocolate sheet cakes and angel food cakes were enjoyed by many.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her parents, Jeff and Frieda; one brother, Harold. She is survived by her children, Stan Tucker and Cady (of Cherokee), Brenda Shue and Brad (of Harper, Kansas), and Nelson Tucker and Linda (of Wichita, Kansas). Grandchildren include Matt Tucker and Alyson, Weston, Wyatt, and Wade (of Alva), Brooke Albin and Tim, Tori, and Treyce (of Athens, Ohio), Tyson Tucker and Audrey, Ava, and Hailey (of Alva), and Audra, Skylar, Soren, and London (of Denver, Colorado), Isaac Shue and Karina and Xavi (of Harper, Kansas), Whitney Morales and Rey, Rey III, Liam, and Sofia (of Sequin, Texas), Kaci Pratt and Nelson and Theodore, Perri Tucker, Preston Tucker, and Harrison Tucker and Sarah (of Wichita, Kansas), and a host of other relatives and friends.

She will be greatly missed. Her greatest desire would be to be reunited with her entire family and all of her friends in heaven.

Funeral service for Marie were held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church in Kiowa, Kansas, with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
