Jerald Lee Tubby

Jerald Lee Tubby
September 1, 1968 ~ April 30, 2019

Jay Tubby, age 50 of Wayne, and formerly of Sand Springs, passed away Tuesday April 30, 2019.

Jerald Lee Tubby was born September 1, 1968 in Tulsa, OK, the younger of 2 children born to Jerry Wayne Tubby and Gloria Jean (Kirkland) Tubby.

He was raised in Sand Springs and attended school there. Jay worked various jobs throughout the years, just trying to make it. Life’s challenges were sometimes a bit much for Jay, but he managed the best he could. By chance, he met a young lady who had shared many of his own experiences. They were perfect for each other and overcome much with each other’s help and the grace of God. Her name was Vicki Shirell. Day after day and challenge after challenge, brought Jay and Vicki closer together, and they eventually married on July 18, 2015 in Okemah. The following year, they moved to Wayne and this fresh start was exactly what Jay needed. He began working for B&H Construction as a pot holer. Jay loved his job and was grateful for the opportunity. When not working, he was “all about his grandkids”. Jay loved anything and everything to do with motorcycles and he never missed a chance to go fishing. Jay accepted Christ and was baptized at Goldsby Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a true friend.

He was preceded in death by:

His parents, Jerry Wayne Tubby and Gloria Jean (Kirkland) Tubby.

Jay leaves behind:
