Geraldine (Smith) Troupe, 85, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026. She was born in Speer, Oklahoma to James E. and Nellie Smith on July 12, 1940.
Geraldine dedicated her life to serving others and sharing her faith. She earned an Associate of Applied Science in Child Development and found her calling working with children. As the director of two large church childcare centers, she combined her love for children with her passion for spreading the gospel. Her work touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on those she served.
A devoted wife and mother, Geraldine supported her family throughout all of life's challenges. As a military wife, she stood as a pillar of strength during her husband's service. Including his deployments and during the Vietnam War. She managed their household with grace and resilience, often acting as both mother and father during his absences. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother and great grandmother.
Geraldine's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was active in every church she attended, always eager to share God's love with others. Whether inviting people to church or asking if they knew Jesus personally, Geraldine lived as a testament to her unwavering belief. Her influence extended beyond her immediate circle; she led her brother-in-law and his wife to Christ inspiring him to become a pastor who would go on to guide many others in their faith journeys.
Family was central to Geraldine's life. She is survived by her children: James & Donna Troupe, Teresa Johnson, Robert & Dawn Troupe; grandchildren: Tanya Johnson, Jennifer & Tracy Meyer, Larisa & Brett Stratmoen, Daniel & Heidi Troupe, Warren Simpson, Jesse Spradlin & Elia Salazar; great-grandchildren: Brock Stratmoen, Dane Stratmoen, Emilia Meyer, Elizabeth Meyer, and Leif Spradlin. She is also survived by her sisters Earleen Pine and Juanita (Joel) Flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl L. Troupe, her parents James E. & Nellie Smith; siblings Carmie Smith, Lois Flowers, Perry (Juanita) Smith; son-in-law Gary Johnson.
Geraldine's legacy is one of faithfulness, love and service. She will be remembered for her tireless efforts to share God's word with everyone she met and for the profound impact she has on those around her.
The family is holding a celebration of life service at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Blanchard First Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
