Chuck Tollison

Chuck Tollison was born July 25, 1941 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Bonnie Bernice and Bunyon E. Tollison. He passed away June 7, 2016 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 12 days.

Chuck grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was homeschooled by his grandmother. He traveled extensively throughout Oklahoma, Texas and California following his job. He met Geneva Kay Dyer in Shamrock, Texas and when he moved to Sayre she followed him shortly after. They were later married on July 24, 1987 at Shamrock, Texas and continued to make Sayre their home. Chuck enjoyed being outside, yard work and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 son, Chucky Tollison and one grandson, Colton Johnson.

He is survived by his 5 children, Christy Ward, Moore, OK, Jeanie Dyer and husband, Roy Hunt, Sayre, OK, Roy Johnson and wife, Dawn, Sayre, OK, Jimmy Johnson and wife, Charity, Elk City, OK, and Steven Harvill, Sayre, OK; 13 grandchildren, Kayce, Chasity and Nathan Dyer, Paiige, Trevor, Brendn, and and Tristin Johnson, Esther, Joshua and Dakota Johnson, David Harvill and Brandon Sims, and Cynthia Manning and husband, Sabian Gutierrez, 4 great grandchildren, Kadin Dearing and Braeden Dyer, and Madalyn and Raymond Gutierrez and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later time. 


Geneva Kay (Dyer) Tollison

March 11, 1958 ~ March 24, 2016

Geneva Kay (Dyer) Tollison was born March 11, 1958 in Wheeler, Texas to Ina Faye and Roy Franklin Dyer. She passed away March 24, 2016 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years and 13 days.

Geneva grew up in Wheeler and attended schools in Wheeler and Shamrock, Texas. In 1973 she began her family. She worked at various convenience stores and as a waitress to support her family. In 1985 she moved to Sayre to be closer to Charles Tollison, her long time companion. They were later married on July 24, 1987 at Wheeler, Texas and continued to make Sayre their home. After their marriage Geneva continued work at Biscuit Hill, Simons and Hardees's until her untimely death. She also enjoyed crocheting, yard work and spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Glenn Edwards, infant brother and sister and one grandson, Colton Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck, of the home; 4 children, Jeanie Dyer and husband, Roy Hunt, Sayre, OK; and Roy Johnson and wife, Dawn, Sayre, OK; and Jimmy Johnson and wife, Charity, Elk City, OK; and Steven Harvill, Sayre, OK; 12 grandchildren, Kayce, Chasity and Nathan Dyer, and Paiige, Trevor, Brendn, and and Tristin Johnson, and Esther, Joshua and Dakota Johnson, and David Harvill and Brandon Sims, 2 great grandchildren, Kadin Dearing and Braeden Dyer, 2 brothers, Tommy Edwards, Elk City, OK; and Larry Dyer, Norman, OK; 6 sisters, JoAnn Stacy, Elk City, OK; and Laura Eaton and husband, Kenny, Amarillo, TX; and Rita Medira and husband, Sylvester, Shamrock, TX; and LaWanda Wood, Amarillo, TX; and Lynn Woods and husband, Dale, Amarillo, TX; and Ronda Barton and husband, Steve Lovett, Amarillo, TX; host of nieces, nephews, other, relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Monday, March 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm at New Liberty Church officiated by Chris Ogden. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service and condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com.
