Lavon Sue Toby, a longtime resident of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away on May 19, 2026, in Stroud at the age of 60. She was born on February 8, 1966, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Calvin and Sue (Boyer) Looney.
Lavon moved to Oklahoma as a very young child and grew up in the Drumright, Shamrock, and Oilton areas. For more than twenty years, she made her home in Stroud, where she built a life centered around faith, family, and love. She was a devoted member of the Stroud United Pentecostal Church and found great joy in fellowship and worship with her church family.
Lavon was a woman who truly treasured the simple moments in life. She loved camping trips, boating, driving around the lake, sharing laughter with those she loved, and giving sweet kisses on the forehead to her family. Above all else, Lavon was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother whose love and care touched every generation of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Sue Looney; her mother, Connie Tomlinson; her granddaughter, Kaydence Laskey; and her brother, Michael Tomlinson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Dwain Toby; her daughters, Ashley Laskey and her husband, Kerr, and Jennifer Flood and her husband, Tim; her son, Levi Smith and his wife, Jonny Walker; her grandchildren, Kortney Flood and her husband, Jarrett Hogner, Lyric Laskey, Amber Smith, Aiden Laskey, Lakyn Smith, and Fisher Smith; her sisters, Michelle Anderson and Tracy Avenson; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
