Kittie Yvonne (Williams) Timm

November 09, 1944 ~ June 01, 2018

Kittie Yvonne (Williams) Timm was born November 9, 1944 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Wiley and Nadine (Mikles) Williams. She passed away June 1, 2018 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 23 days.

Kittie grew up in the Sayre/Doxey area. Her family moved to Council Grove, Kansas when she was 16. There she met the love of her life, Lowell Timm. She and Lowell married August 12, 1962 in Council Grove. To their union came two daughters, Nadina and Tonja. The family made their home in Council Grove until 1976 when in November they moved to the Sayre/Doxey area in Oklahoma.

Kittie graduated from Council Grove High School in 1963. In 1979 she attended Sayre Junior College and later went to LPN school at Western Area Vo-tech, where she earned her LPN degree. She worked at Walmart for several years before becoming an LPN. After graduating nursing school she worked at GPRMC in several areas including doctors offices and in labor and delivery. She also worked home health for a while. She retired to take care of her ailing parents around 2001.

Kittie was a loving mother to Nadina (Timm) Barton and Tonja (Timm) Truitt as well as being a foster mother to several children in Kansas and Oklahoma. There was very little time where there were not children in her home. She treated them all like they were hers and taught many to cook and sew. She loved kids and was always there for a shoulder to cry on or just an ear to listen along with a warm meal to those in need.

Kittie was preceded in death by her parents, Nadine and Wiley Williams, two brothers, Alvin and Ernie Williams.

She is survived by her husband, Lowell Timm, daughters. Nadina Barton and husband, Ricky, of the home and Tonja Truitt and husband, Oren of Yukon, OK; 5 grandchildren: Casey Chervenka and family, Kyle Chervenka and family, all of Elk City, OK. Savanna Jones and family of Canute, OK, Christopher Dundas and Sarah Truitt of Yukon, OK; 9 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in the name of Kittie Timm to the American Cancer Society in Oklahoma at 6525 N. Meridian Ave # 110, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
