Martha Hazel (McDowell) Walker Tidwell

Feb. 16, 1913 ~ April 24, 2006

The funeral for Martha Hazel McDowell Walker Tidwell, 93, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cherokee Friends Church. The Rev. Ken Keeling will officiate. Burial will be in Star, Idaho. Arrangements are by Goodwin Funeral Home, Cherokee, OK. Visitation will be at the funeral home today and Friday.

She was born Feb. 16, 1913, in Chester to Frank Wilmot and Rosalee Leebrick McDowell and died Monday, April 24, 2006, at Share Convalescent Home, Alva, OK.

She graduated from Cherokee High School in 1932.

She married Roy C. Walker May 9, 1934, in Cherokee, OK. They farmed south of Cherokee until moving to Idaho in 1950. She worked as a nurse aide in Nampa, Idaho, for 21 years. He died in March 1968.

She married Ellis Tidwell March 7, 1978. They lived in Cherokee until his death in May 1996. She was a member of Friends Church, Cherokee, OK.

Surviving are two sons, Ron Walker and Dale Walker, both of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to two husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, two sisters and two brothers

Memorials may be made through the funeral home.
