Elwyn E. "Sonny" Tidball Jr.

The Memorial Services Celebrating the life of Elwyn E. "Sonny" Tidball Jr., 70 of Enid will be held Thursday August 9th at 10:30 A.M. in the Calvary Assembly of God Church with Pastor Stanley E. Botts officiating under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born October 7th 1941 on his family's farm west of canton to Elwyn Sr. and Lavon Jones Tidball. He graduated from Canton High School in 1959. He attended the University of Texas for two years and returned home and graduated from Enid Business College. He worked on a seismograph crew traveling throughout the United States. He returned to the Enid area in 1969 and worked as an insurance agent representing Mutual of Omaha.

In 1978 he moved to Texas and worked for Firestone for ten years.

In 1986 he worked as a professional carpenter in the real estate industry for ten years flipping houses.

He retired in 2004 and returned to Enid to be near family.

He attended Calvary Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his four children; son, David and Wife Mary of Enid; Son, Jeff and Wife Vicki of Enid; Daughter, Sonya Wichert of Orlando, OK.; Daughter, Gwen and husband Eric Wofford of Enid; Former wife Nellie Catlett; Grandchildren; Kristi, Brittney, Brandon, Kyle, Skye, Keila, Taylor, Khrissy, Makayla; Great grandchildren; Tyler, Matthew, Alex and Cody; Brother Dennis Tidball of Canton and Sister Victoria Bradford of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
