Jack Lester Tibbits

October 13, 1937 ~ May 29, 2008

Jack Lester Tibbits, 70, a long time Lacey, Washington resident died Thursday, May 29, 2008 due to complications after surgery.

Jack was born on October 13, 1937 in Evansville, Arkansas to Erman and Rosie Tibbits.

Jack served in the Army for four years. He was assigned to the M.P. Division.

Jack married Terry Lee Theriault on April 15, 1961 in Elma. They spent their first one and a half years of marriage serving in the Army, in Panama City, Panama.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Terry, daughter; Jacki, and her husband Jeff, his son; Chuck, son, Alex and his wife, Michele, grandchildren; Zach, Austin, Hunter, Chandler and Jackson.

Also surviving him are four sisters; Ann Fascetti, Middleton, NJ., Betty Coots, Shelton, WA., Minnie Carlson, Olympia, WA., Nora Gladey, Hazelton, PA., one brother; Jim Tibbits, Westville, OK., one nephew, Dennis Tibbits of Stilwell, OK and the Russ Rattie Family of Elma.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the Lacey Community Center from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

At Jack's request, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the March of Dimes at Heritage Bank/Jack Tibbits, Indian Summer Branch, 5800 Rainier Loop SE. Lacey WA 98513.
