The Memorial service for Anita Tibbets, 89, of Enid will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Services and complete cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brown- Cummings Funeral Home.

Anita Elizabeth Tibbets was born March 6, 1929 in Memphis, Texas to Derwood and Estelle McCool and passed away February 1, 2019. She married Marvin Ferrell Tibbets in 1953 and together they had three children.

In 2013, Anita moved to Enid where she was welcomed into the Golden Oaks Community and lived there happily with her many friends and fellow card players. She was an active member of Enid First United Methodist Church and the Sooner Sunday School class.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Marvin Tibbets and Tom Quirk; and her great - grandson, Andrew Tyner.

Anita is survived by children Cindi (Greg) Miller of Ohio; Mike (Karen) of Oklahoma City; and Robin (Tom)Newby of Enid. She is survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren. She is survived by two sisters.

Memorials can be given through the funeral home to Enid First United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
