Henry Dwain Threlkeld
November 30, 1941 ~ May 22, 2018(Age 76)

Henry Dwain Threlkeld Of Apache, OK Was born November 30, 1941 in Kiowa, OK to Ivan Henry and Bertha Viola (Batts) Threlkeld. He passed away May 22, 2018 at his home in Apache.

Henry was barely a teenager when his father passed away, leaving him to quit school and go to work to support his family. He was a hard worker, taking pride in all he did.

Henry served in the Army during the Viet Nam conflict. After his enlistment, he worked for the City of Denison, TX as their Pool manager. He was responsible for the several pools that the city owns.

He married Susan Stoff on December 15, 1977 in Denison. She preceded him in death March 3, 2013.

He loved working outdoors, and his property was always immaculately maintained and he enjoyed working on small engines. Henry also loved dogs, and raised many over the years. Henry was a private man, but he loved his family greatly.

He is survived by:
1 son and his wife-
Hank and Jamie Threlkeld         Apache, OK

1 daughter and her husband-
Laura and Jack Hix            Apache, OK

3 grandchildren-
Denise and husband, Michael Meehan
Elizabeth Dowling
Roy Dowling

6 great-grandchildren-
Hayden Meehan, Presley Meehan, Addison Meehan, Tatum Meehan, Brooklynn Dowling, Aliyah Petro and 2 more 'on the way'

1 sister-
Charlene Welch               Gentry, AR

And his two beloved dogs, Frankie and Raymond

He was preceded in death by:
His parents
His wife
3 sisters- Nelly Fogarty, Lilly Polston, Vera Lindsey
2 brothers- Alva Ray Threlkeld, Charles Threlkeld

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 1st at 11:00 A.M. in Denison, TX at the Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Coffman of Parkside Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Crews Funeral Home of Apache, OK.
