Virgil Charles Thorp

ENID, Okla. — Service for Virgil Thorp will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at First Christian Church, Helena. Arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Full obit at www.lanmanmemorials.com.

Virgil was the son of Bert and Lillie Williams Thorp and a former Helena-Goltry School Principal, an Alfalfa County Commissioner and a farmer. Born in Helena on Feb 9, 1936 & passed away Oct 12, 2013 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid.

Surviving are wife, Marilyn; sons, Tom and Cheryl Thorp, and Michael and Shelly Thorp; daughters, Vicky and Larry Frey, and Shelly and Craig Shepard; 13 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Preceding him in death are his parents & 1 brother, Terry

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to First Christian Church Building Fund or charity of donor’s choice.
