Wanda Faye Thompson

Wanda Faye Thompson
September 19, 1951 ~ June 25, 2009

Wanda Faye Thompson was born on September 19, 1951, in Ponca City, OK, and died on (official date) at her home in Crescent, OK. A graduate of Ponca City High School in 1969, Wanda attended nursing school in Oklahoma City. She was employed by St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, mostly as an ER nurse for over 30 years. She loved animals, photography, her friends and family. We will all miss her caring nature, sense of humor and honesty. She was generous to a fault, giving so much of herself, often at her own expense. Wanda is survived by her mother and stepfather, Neva and Buddy Klumpp, one sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Kab Brewer, two step-brothers and their wives, Mike and Cynthia Klumpp, Larry and Cindie Klumpp, one nephew, Geremy L. Skinner, and her beloved dog, Nestle. Believing in Christ as her personal savior, we know we will be together again. In memory of Wanda, memorials can be made to the ASPCA, online at ASPCA.org or ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., NY, NY 10128-6804 or to the Volunteer Fire Department of Crescent, OK 73028.

"TO THOSE I LOVE" When I am gone, just release me, let me go -- so I can move into my afterglow. You mustn't tie me down that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me awhile, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust. It's only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home"
