Ruth Sylvia (Rath) Thompson

Ruth Sylvia (Rath) Thompson
November 15, 1931 ~ February 15, 2022

On February 15, 2022, Ruth Sylvia Thompson went to be with the Lord. Ruth was born November 15, 1931 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Karl and Edna Rath.

On August 31, 1948, she married Robie Thompson. They made their home on Bar-L Ranch in Marland, Oklahoma. Ruth was an active member in the FFA Chapter helping with dinners. She was also a Sgt. Major in the Salvation Army and retired after 75 years of service.

Ruth is survived by 5 sons, Robie Glen Jr. of Loxahatchee, Florida; Don of Ralston, Oklahoma; John and wife Debbie of Marland, Oklahoma; Pat and wife Nellie of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and Tommy of Big Springs, Texas. Ruth also had 3 daughters, Carolyn and husband John Wedd of Ralston, Oklahoma; Cathy Thompson of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and Anita Thompson of Ponca City, Oklahoma. As well as two daughters-in-law, Terry Thompson of Oklahoma City and Tina Thompson of Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Robie and two sons Harold and Terry, two granddaughters Tina Wedd and Kenzie Andrews and one great granddaughter, Montana Rose Mashburn, six sisters and one brother Dewey Rath.
