Nathan Howard Thompson

HELENA, OK — Memorial service for Nathan Howard Thompson, 60, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Timberlake High School Auditorium with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena.

Nathan was born on April 26, 1953, in Ulysses, Kansas, to Harold Harvey Thompson and Lois Virginia Randles Thompson and passed from this life on August 22, 2013, in Enid. He grew up in Syracuse, Kansas, where he graduated from high school.

He loved to fish and to spend time with his friends and family, especially his grandkids. He loved to pick sand plums. His nickname was “plum picker.”

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hannon; one son, Ben Thompson; four daughters, Erin Rinaldo and husband, Robby, Chelsea Young and husband, Cody, Robin Thompson and Cidney Thompson; grandson, Jordan Young; five granddaughters, Addalee Young, Ada Thompson, Marie Thompson, Madalynn Rinaldo and Emmalynn Young; four sisters, Gay Thompson, Rhoeba Thompson, Twila Thompson and Amber Settles; two brothers, Alton “Mort” Thompson and Shannon Thompson; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
