Mary Lou (Elam) Thompson

March 17, 1933 ~ August 5, 2012

Mary Lou Thompson, 79, died at 7:30 AM Sunday morning August 5, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday August 9, 2012 in the Bluestem Baptist Church with Pastor Manny LaPorte of the Bartlesville Seventh day Adventist Church officiating under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

A memorial has been established with the Animal Rescue Foundation, PO Box 3292, Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74006 for those who wish to donate in her memory.

Mary Lou Thompson was born on March 17, 1933 at Claremore the daughter of Walter Earl and Gracie Lois (Hayes) Elam she was raised in the Ochelata area. Mary Lou married Roy Glendon Thompson on March 22, 1952. She had worked for Southwestern Bell, the First National Bank and the Green Stamp Store. She was a member of the Bluestem Baptist Church in Dewey. She loved birds, flower gardening and cats, and to play BINGO and go to the casino.

Mary Lou is survived by one son Roy G. Thompson, Jr. and his wife Tiffany of Wann, three daughters, Glenda Vandagriff and her husband Steve, Renee Glass and her husband Gary of Dewey, and Sandra McDonald and her husband Randy, two brothers, Clifford Elam of Owasso, John Elam of Dewey, two sisters, her twin Margot McCormack of Bartlesville and Betty Baker of Ochelata, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
