Gladys Belle (Landaker) Thompson

January 12, 1937 ~ August 14, 2018

 Memorial service for Gladys Belle Thompson, 81 will be at 6:30 PM Friday August 24. 2018 at Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home.

Gladys was born south of Hennessey on January 12, 1937 to Irl and Blanche Hoisington Landaker and died Tuesday August 14, 2018 at Hennessey Care Center.

Gladys married Gene Bradley and from this union two children were born. Roger Bradley and Grace (Bradley) Rogers. She later married Dean Thompson.

Gladys loved camping and fishing with Dean and later enjoyed gambling at the casinos with Pops McCollum.

In addition to Roger and wife Bonnie, and Grace and husband Keith, Gladys is survived by one sister Earlene Hoover; seven grandchildren, Daren Miller, Alisha Matthews, Kristopher Bradley, Stacy and Brady Wacker, Jamie and Char Matthews, Charly and Amanda Rogers, Heather and Matt Parten, and twelve great-grandchildren Paige Herron, Kendyll and Kaddo Miller, Tori and Belle Rogers, Cole and Cason Matthews, Sonny, Sarah, and Martin Albarado, Dominic and Donte Wacker; and longtime friend and very special caregiver Shirley Walterscheidt.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Dean Thompson, her special companion Jim “Pops” McCollum, and two grandchildren Lori Miller and Joe Matthews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hennessey Care Center with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
