Arnold Bruce Thompson was born April 28, 1950 in Sayre, Oklahoma to JoAnn and Robert Franklin Thompson, Jr. He passed away March 18, 2017 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 20 days.

Arnold Bruce grew up in Udall, Kansas and moved with his family in the 7th grade to League City, Texas where he graduated from Clear Creek High School in May of 1969. After graduation he enlisted in the United Sates Navy where he served on the USS Oriskany during the Vietnam War and was a medic. Arnold Bruce was honorably discharged in 1973 and found employment in the jewelry and healthcare industries before starting his own security system business. In 1997 he began his career as a truck driver delivering newly manufactured semis from the factories to the dealerships. Arnold Bruce enjoyed fishing in Colorado, hunting in west Texas, watching movies, reading books and playing all types of games.

He was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his 2 children, Megan Venegas and husband, Carlos, of Houston, TX and Michael Thompson, of Houston, TX; 2 grandchildren, Kayla Venegas and Luis Venegas, both of Houston, TX; his parents, R.F. Thompson, Jr. and JoAnn Thompson of Sayre, OK; 1 sister, Aileen Thompson Svaty and husband Ken, of Rowlett, TX; 1 brother, Eddie Norris Thompson, of Sayre, OK; ex-wife, Joanne Sinski Thompson, of Houston, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
