Louise (Ezel) Thomas

Dec 10, 1929 ~ Jan. 28, 2006

Visitation begins today, Tuesday, January 31, from 3-7 p.m., at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Thelma was born December 10, 1929, at the start of the Great Depression in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Marion Franklin Ezell and Ruth Beatrice McKeever Ezell. Thelma and her family moved to California.

In 1946, she married her childhood sweetheart, Zane Grey Thomas; they were happily married for 49 years. Thelma and Zane led adventurous lives with many trips across country with their car clubs and in their Cessna 170.

In the early years, Thelma attended flight school, was a licensed beautician and then became a mother and homemaker. Thelma enjoyed arts and crafts, reading her extensive library, gardening and tending her roses. She was always glad to lend a helping hand to those in meed. She was generous, caring and thoughtful with a great sense of humor and a flair for business.

After 76 years she joined her loving husband, Zane; sister, Maye Fulfer; and her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters and their husbands, Jeanene and Gary Perry, and Amy and Dan McGuire; two sisters, Leona Foth and husband, Jerry, and Imogene Rodriguez; three grandsons, Sean Ayers, Aron Perry and Steve Perry and his wife, Rachel; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was loved and will be missed by all.

Honorary Pallbearers are Glenn Thomas, Gary Perry, Dan McGuire, Sean Ayers, Aron Perry and Steve Perry.

Thelma's family would like to extend their gratitude to all who cared for her, for their kindness, compassion and friendship.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Optimal Hospice, or your favorite charity.
