Thank You For Your Service!

Jimmie Charles Thomas

May 1, 1923 ~ May 10, 2012 (age 89)

Jimmie C. Thomas , a former Ada rancher, co-owner of Thomas Concrete Products and husband to his beloved 'Blue Eyes' for 64 years, died Thursday in Norman. He was 89.

A former WWII Navy pilot, he continued to give back to his community, including service on the OSU Board of Regents and the Oklahoma Zoological Society board. He also loved his family and fun. If Norman or Ada had a parade, he was in it.

He leaves his wife, Bettie Boggan Thomas ; daughters, Priscilla Johnson and Cynthia Curtis (husband Harry); son Ted (wife Mary Ann Roser); grandchildren, Amanda Pettit (husband Erik), Chris Johnson, Tristin Harper (husband Jason), Tanner Thomas and Clayburn Curtis. He also is survived by great-grandchildren, Claire and Sawyer Pettit, and Alexis Harper.

He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Tim.

A private family service is being held.

Memorials are suggested to OSU's Department of Animal Science and the Oklahoma City Zoo.

Arrangements for Jimmie and his family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
