Billy Mack Thomas Sr.
September 6, 1947 ~ August 19, 2022 (age 74)

Billy Mack Thomas SR. passed peacefully from this life on Friday, August 19, 2022, in Pottsboro, Texas, at the age of 74. He was born in Conroe, Texas on September 6, 1947, to Seron Lavelle and Anna Mae (Robertson) Thomas. He married the love of his life, Laura Prazak in Denison, Texas on December 2, 2011.

Billy was an award-winning car salesman where he had over 30 years’ experience in the business. He was even named the #1 Dodge salesman in the United States. He worked at Glenloch Farms as a horse trainer extraordinaire. Some of his job skills included welding, ranching, and selling insurance. Billy had never met a stranger; he was a great Daddy who raised three amazing children. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Left behind to cherish Billy’s memory are his loving wife of 10 years, Laura of the home, his three children: son Lil Bill Thomas and wife Amy Pixler of Sherman, Texas, daughter Shay Miller and husband Dennis of Clyde, North Carolina, daughter Shannan Roberts and husband Andy of Hamilton, Texas and one stepson Halen Byrd of Van Alstyne, Texas. Also surviving Billy are his grandchildren Chelsea Cloutier, Seth Thomas, Stefan Kinsey, McKenna Kinsey, Sutton Lee, Kennon Lee, Easton Garcia, Rhett Haliburton, Wrennyn Byrd, and Hazely Byrd. Great-grandchildren include Mia, Lily, Makenna, Tucker, Decker, and Dalton. Other survivors include his brother Truman Ray Thomas and his wife Betty of Huntsville, Texas, Aubrey and ex-husband in law Gary Gates, and his beloved fur baby Abby Gayle.

Preceding Billy in death are his parents Seron and Anna Mae, his brother Sidney Wayne Thomas and his sister-in-law Dianna Thomas and his nephew Travis Thomas.

Laura would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and Sher-Den Home Health for all of the care that they have shown Billy during his illness. She would also like to thank Choctaw Casino and Resorts for allowing her to work from home the last two months, which allowed her to care for her beloved Billy.

A memorial service will be held at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 2:00pm. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rick Lee, Sutton Lee, Seth Thomas, Andy Roberts, Dennis Miller and Halen Byrd.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
