Rosalie Marie (Simons) Terrill
July 07, 1941 ~ June 28, 2018

Rosalie Marie Simons Terrill, 76, of Aline, joined the angels June 28, 2018, after injuries suffered in a car accident June 17, 2018. Rosalie was born July 7, 1941, in Enid to Walter and Cecelia Simons of Wakita. 

She attended and graduated from Wakita schools, attended business school in Enid, and worked at the Enid State School.

In 1963, she married D. Dean Mills, and they had two children, Jennifer and Robert. Dean Mills passed in December 1965.

Rosalie moved to Alva for college and there she met K. Dean Terrill. They wed in November 1968, and then moved to Aline in 1970. One daughter, Debra, was born. This was and still is home. Rosalie was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother over her 76 years.

In 1980, she worked for the Census and again in 2010. She worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier in Fairview until she became Postmaster in Aline until her retirement. 

Rosalie was active in her community. She and husband Dean started up the Aline Food Pantry, and she spent time gathering prizes for the Aline Fair and for bingo for the Chamber of Commerce and working with Aline Senior Citizens. She would help at the Sod House Museum during school tours. 

Rosalie traveled a lot with Dean to auctions and garage sales. Rosalie took pride in going to the activities of her grandchildren and doing whatever she could to help them.

Rosalie is preceded in death by her first husband, her parents and two brothers.

Surviving are husband, Dean Terrill of the home in Aline; children, Jenny Nixon and Bret of Freedom, Robert (Bob) Mills of Enid and Debra Sutton and Tim of Enid; 12 grandchildren; one niece, Regina Simons; one nephew, Troy Simons and family of Morrison; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services have been set for 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at Aline Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aline Christian Church or Aline Senior Citizens Center.
