Perry Edward Tennison

Perry Edward Tennison
February 18, 1929 ~ August 08, 2015

Perry Edward Tennison, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on August 8, 2015 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

Perry was born on February 18th, 1929 in Cushing, Oklahoma. He graduated from Guthrie High School in 1946 and from Oklahoma University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He married Angela in 1950. Perry was an Army veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict where he earned the Bronze Star. He was a Registered Professional Engineer working numerous projects including assignments in Africa and China. He was an accomplished runner, earning many awards including the Bulldog 200 in 1995 and 1996. He loved poetry and he loved to travel. He had a curious mind and a lust for life which led to many wonderful friendships. He was loved and will be sorely missed.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Angela; his parents, Perry and Connie; 3 sisters, Helen Tennison, Madrene Wilson, and Mildred Dobbs, a grandson, and a niece.

Perry is survived by his daughters, Terry Ann Tennison and Lindi Gensert; his sons, David Tennison, Dan Tennison, and Clay Tennison; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 nieces.

Friends and family are invited for a Remembrance, in the home on September 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM to celebrate Perry’s life.

In lieu of flowers, it was Perry’s wish that you donate to a charity of your choice.
