William "Jack" Tays

November 6, 1947 ~ August 10, 2022

Jack, the firstborn of William (Bill) and Aleen (Martie) Tays, was born in Du Quoin, Illinois, and died peacefully in Leander, Texas.

Jack was an enthusiastic traveler, visiting all fifty states, and shared very entertaining stories of his adventures with family and friends.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Jack was a big fan of his Cowboys and enjoyed telling stories about attending the games and rooting for his team back in the good ol' days in Stillwater.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Aleen, and brothers, John and James.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Bielstein and husband Kurt of Oklahoma City; brother Charlie; and many friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Jack's life will be held in Leander, Texas, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022.
