Joseph Charles Szewczyk
July 16, 1945 ~ January 17, 2014

Joseph Charles Szewczyk was born to Joseph and Antoninia Zalepeski Szewczyk July 16, 1945, in Lee Center, New York.

He died January 17, 2014, at his home in Lamont, Okla.

Joe graduated Rome Free Academy, Rome, New York. He earned his associate's degree from Lock and Key Institute in Houston, Texas.

Joe Szewczyk and Dee Davis were married August 26, 1967, at Lee Center, New York.

Joe worked for Mid America Door Company in Ponca City. They knew him by "Papa Joe."

He liked fishing and hunting. He will be missed by Johnny, his dog. He loved his neighbors. Special thanks to Cynthia and Charvette and the Stocking family.

He is preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law Alice Davis.

Joe is survived by his mother Antoninia Szewczyk, Lee Center, New York; wife, Dee Szewczyk, Lamont; sister, Linda K. Russello and husband Jerry, Lee Center, New York; brother-in-law, Gary Torian, Waco, Texas; three nephews, Chappell Torian, Texas, Jerry Dom Russello and wife Lynette, Lee Center, New York, Anthony Russello, Lee Center, New York; two nieces, Dena Pinkston and husband Tim, Texas, Shirena Ghazzagh and husband John, Texas; cousins, Terry and Chuck Myers, Cherokee.

Memorial service will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church, Lamont. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
